What Boca Raton does to a window
Boca Raton windows have different problems depending on which side of Federal Highway you live on. East of it, the onshore wind carries Atlantic salt across the barrier island, the Intracoastal and Lake Boca, and it dries to a dull film on anything that faces east. In Royal Palm, Boca Harbour, Sun and Surf and Por La Mar the glass needs attention more often than owners expect.
West of I-95, in Boca West, Broken Sound, Woodfield, Boca Pointe and Boca Del Mar, salt is not the issue. How often should windows be cleaned in Boca Raton?
Homes west of I-95 in the country club communities do well every quarter, which keeps sprinkler rings, hedge debris and mildew from building up. Homes on the Intracoastal, Lake Boca or the ocean do better every two months because of salt. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
